What is this?

This is a directory of local musicians in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is focused on live performers. It excludes DJs because there are more DJs than I can keep track of.

Why isn't my favorite band on here?

I've done my best to catalogue as many as I could, but it is inevitable that I miss some. If there is very little social media presence, I probably missed them. Please send me an email with as much info as you can.

Why isn't my event on the calendar?

Because I only post events that are submitted to me, as well as any recurring open mics I can find. Submit yours by clicking the link on the 'Events' page.

What does "Active", "Inactive", and "Disbanded" mean?

"Active" means I have been able to find evidence of a live performance in the last 6 months. "Inactive" means there hasn't been any shows or posts for at least 6-12 months. "Disbanded" means I have found evidence that the band/artist doesn't intend to perform anymore. If any of these are inaccurate, please email me. I've tried to give benefit of the doubt, but there may be mistakes.

Who are you?

I am a musician and music teacher who has lived in ABQ my whole life. I play with Ugly Robot, Albukaraoque, Mumbojumbo Jazz, and Colin Baillio. I have previously been a part of Brush Strokes, Eileen & the In-Betweens, Eugene, Rue Badly, and Walker Kass.

Why did you make this?

Because I love this community, and I wanted to give back. I hope it is useful for fans, venues, and musicians. (Plus I learned how to code so I wanted to make stuff).
